// About Us
Burr & Neve was founded in 1971 when Christopher Burr set up in partnership, a practice then known as Smith & Burr. From 1971 to 1980 the practice operated from offices near to Liverpool Street Station in London.
In 1980 the practice was reorganised, moved to Chelmsford and Robert S Neve came into the partnership. The practice was renamed Burr & Neve.
In 1998 the partnership was increased by the addition of Raymond J Mason and Gulam M Nadat, both previously long-serving Associates from within the practice.
At the end of 2001, after 21 years in Chelmsford, the practice relocated to newer and larger offices in Witham.
In 2005, the practice became a limited liability partnership (LLP).
In 2010 Christopher Burr retired from the partnership [remaining as a Consultant] and an association was formed with Downey & Warren, also Chartered Quantity Surveyors, of Ipswich.
In 2011 the practice merged with Downey & Warren and David J Warren came into the partnership.
In 2014 Christopher Burr fully retired from the partnership.
In 2015 Robert Neve retired from the partnership [remaining as a Consultant].
The practice operates throughout the UK with a concentration of work in London, East Anglia and the 'home counties'.
